How It Works: Oil-Free Reciprocating Compression

A step-by-step look at the thermodynamic cycle that guarantees 100% pure, high-pressure oxygen delivery without hydrocarbon contamination.

Gas Suction Phase

As the piston moves downward inside the cylinder, a pressure differential is created. The intake valve opens precisely, drawing pure oxygen gas directly into the compression cavity.

Isothermal Compression

The piston reverses its stroke. The intake valve securely closes, and the cylinder volume decreases, rapidly increasing the gas pressure. Self-lubricating PTFE rings ensure absolute zero oil contact with the gas.

Inter-stage Cooling

The compressed, heated oxygen exits through the discharge valve into a highly efficient shell-and-tube heat exchanger. This critical cooling phase reduces gas volume and improves thermodynamic efficiency.

Multi-Stage Delivery

For high-pressure applications (up to 320 bar), this cycle is repeated across sequentially smaller cylinders until the exact target discharge pressure is achieved and safely delivered to the pipeline.
